State License Examination Eligibility
A candidate may become eligible to take the NARM Exam after NARM has reviewed and accepted the required documentation for this pathway.
- Before authorizing the candidate to test, NARM must determine that the candidate:
- meets the General Requirements for All Candidates that apply at the examination stage;
- holds a current credential accepted by NARM for this pathway;
- has completed and documented the required out-of-hospital clinical experience;
- has resolved any deficiencies identified during application review; and
- has paid all applicable fees.
When these requirements have been accepted, NARM will notify the candidate of eligibility and provide instructions for registering and scheduling the examination.
A candidate who previously passed the NARM Exam as part of an accepted state licensing or recognition process may not be required to take the examination again, subject to NARM’s verification and current policies.
Approval to take the NARM Exam, or acceptance of a prior examination result, does not constitute CPM certification and does not authorize the candidate to use the CPM designation.
