AMCB-Certified as a CNM/CM Pathway Requirements
The AMCB-certified pathway is available to candidates who hold current certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) or Certified Midwife (CM).
AMCB certification establishes eligibility to apply through this pathway but does not, by itself, satisfy all requirements for CPM certification. Candidates must also meet NARM’s general, clinical, examination, documentation, and certification requirements.
AMCB-Certified as a CNM/CM Eligibility for the Pathway
A candidate may use this pathway if the candidate holds a current AMCB credential as a CNM or CM.
The candidate must submit acceptable documentation of current AMCB certification. NARM may verify the credential directly with AMCB or require additional documentation if the credential cannot be verified.
Candidates whose AMCB certification is expired, inactive, suspended, revoked, or otherwise not current may not qualify under this pathway unless permitted by NARM policy.
